Debbie Vasen

Debbie Vasen is a communications executive with 20+ years of experience in everything related to the communications world. She has direct experience with start-ups, nonprofits, and large public companies. She has managed large and small teams of employees, contractors, and volunteers, in 100% remote, hybrid, and in-office environments. Her communication success comes from hands-on knowledge in website optimization, social media, email marketing, event planning, relationship development, and content marketing. She is an expert in her field as a consultant, manager, leader, and independent contributor. 

Debbie is recognized as an authority in female-powered leadership. She is a leader in flexible workplaces and advocates for inclusive company structure through partnerships with other professionals. In addition to her day job as a Communications & Development Director for a nonprofit retreat center, she runs a digital consulting business helping small independent companies establish their voice and grow their digital reach. 

Her educational background has been in mixing people with business. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in both Business Economics and Sociology. She has taken coursework in product management, project management, digital marketing, management training, and more. 

Outside of the communications world, Debbie is a rural community leader. She helps to run a small hobby farm and has direct experience with youth 4-H programs and the local grange board.
